I haven't been to Speed Dating for like 3 years. I'm not nervous at all and have a 'whatever' attitude that should serve me better than before.
Just going to have fun and talk with some ladies. I just hope that they will be mostly average looking if not better.
I'm going to never ask what she does for work, unless I'm not interested or have dead silence. I don't like judge or be judge by profession.
I'm going to bring up practicing yoga and see if that's good bait.
Wish me luck.![]()

You could just use Frank's system from It's Always Sunny. "Whoops! I dropped my monster condom that I use for my magnum dong."

But honestly, you are right that people do care about what you do for a living. You spend so much of your life working, it is a big part of who you are. Like most things with girls though, confidence is really the key. Don't avoid the topic of your job(or lack there of).
In the short term, you can't change what you do(and if you like it, you certainly shouldn't change it for someone else). You can have a huge affect on how others view what you do though. If you talk about it in a positive light, others will be inclined to think more positively of it. If you are not proud of what you are doing right now, talk about your ambitions.

I know. When they ask, I try to say clearly that I'm a Statistician. One time, this one girl heard Esthetician. I went with it for a couple sentences and then clarified.
Now, I also have my Real Estate license but choose to just park my license, to not pay TREB fees right now. More money isn't going to change my life so minimizing stress and enjoying these young years is what I strive for.
Probably going to get an Amaretto, vodka, cranberry to sip on. I like to say it's awesome and tastes like strawberry jello. Girls usually, say "oooooh, I'm going to try that some time.".Last edited by Psubs; May 29th, 2012 at 05:36 PM.

All the best, let us know how it went. Take it easy and dont give out too much info. Dress neatly, smell good, and act confident, and dont hesitate to strike up a convo to break the ice.
Hope it works out for you._______________

Might not send the right vibes. Many people will at least somewhat notice what you are drinking, and if it is something that girly, it probably wont help.
Probably steer clear of anything "fruity"(by which I mean anything fruit based) for the first impression. It's not the end of the world, but even though lots of girls will be interested in your sweet new drink, when looking for someone to date they are not looking for someone to share fruity drink recipes with. That is a bit more of a friend zone thing. Projecting a bit more masculinity is a safer bet.
