Splitting lottery winnings

I have a question re: splitting lottery winnings.

Just bought 3 lottery tickets today.

If you have 3 tickets, and are buying for 3 ppl do they generally allow you to split among 3 names? (it's cheaper to buy 3 under 1 purchase than to separate into 3 different purchases)

Also, if there is a winning, would the 2nd and 3rd person have to pay tax?

If so, how can I avoid tax on the 2nd and 3rd person then?

Thanks

Assuming you're in Canada, you don't need to worry. There's no tax on lottery winnings here.

but see, if I won say 10,000 and I wanted to split with the 2 other contributors, then they would have to pay, no?
Cuz then it'd be like a gift of 3333 to each...

Gifts aren't taxed either.
