The 1.5TB for $200 is cheaper than most local computer stores, but it was cheaper during Dell DotD

Hmmm, 1.5TB Seagate for $200 definitely ain't bad. Shame, as mentioned, it was $170 from Dell DoD's...
If you don't have a local TD near you to pick one up at, you can price match at NCIX for $220.49 taxes and $10 express (1-2 business day) shipping included...
I just bought an external USB hard drive enclosure yesterday and I now need a 1.5TB HD, but I think I'll wait till the price comes down to $160ish since I would hate to pay more than DoD just recently offered (sux too cause I had ordered it, but a few hours later received an email from Dell saying they were out of stock! grrr).... hopefully the Canadian dollar gets close to par with the US dollar soon (somehow) and then someone is bound to offer a 1.5TB seagate at $160 or less before Xmas hits

Don't count on it. The price of commodities and the sharp slide of oil won't stabilize until global economic confidence returns. And that won't happen till the American economy finds its bottom. And that won't happen till house prices settle in the US and stop falling. And even then, it'll take time for everything to come into play so that the exchange rate becomes favourable again for you to buy your 1.5TB harddrive.
But a few letters of solace for you. We will go through at least ONE boxing week sale before then. You can also seek solace in knowing that by then 1.5TB will not be so hot anymore. Maybe for a laptop 2.5". But not for an external or desktop 3.5".
Everything in perspective, right!

the first thing to fall is the demand for tech spending in corp's during downfall in the economic cycle.
And as time goes by innovation continues, prices do come down on the older products.

Thank you OP!
The promo code also works for other items.
I used it for another 25$ off of a 32GB CF card. Great deal!
