Been waiting to see if the Fenix at Costco would drop again but at this price, I think I'll take the plunge. Here is an interesting comparison between the two watches.

my only concern is its water resistant ability, saw lots of ppl claim their watches were dead after pool swimming, don't know if they pressed any button in the water that cause the problem.
I've been swimming with mine multiple times, no issues yet. I really love this watch and the GPS accuracy is amazing!

I've been swimming for over a year with the older non HR Vivoactive with no issues at all; they're well sealed.

Wore mine in Jamaica this summer and in pool/ocean 4 hours a day. No issues at all.

Does this watch have GPS navigation capabilities?

When I ride my bike to new destinations it would be great to follow directions on the watch.

thanks! pulled the trigger. Checked SportChek but the employee said they had just sold the last one 20 mins ago so walked over to Best Buy and got the last one there.

Can also vouch for this. Battery lasts for 5-6 days. Total water proof. HR checking frequent and accurate.

Yup, it's got GPS navigation but as I recall, only shows you an arrow on the screen, rather than a map like the Fenix.

199 is a steal for this unit. Garmin sits at the top for these watches. Dont forget to get a 9H glass screen protector, it saved me a few times.

Never tried it but I think it needs 3rd party app like dwMap.

I think the Fenix has it as a built-in feature, whereas the Vivoactive HR has the arrow as standard without the use of a 3rd party app. But this app you mentioned definitely looks good!

Been using Fitbit Charge 2 with connected GPS but the experience hasn't been the best. Backed Ticwatch on Kickstarter but this is tempting too!

Noticed after signing up for the Sportchek mailing list they sent me two 10% off coupons. One in the welcome email same day and the next day I received a "We Miss You!" email with 10% off code that starts with WINBACK10

The 2nd code actually works on garmin products when they typically excluded from promo codes. This happened twice now so I thought I would share. Attached example for Vivoactive HR GPS as in OP

Glad that I didn't buy any of these watches a month ago, just ordered one from Amazon.
