power blocks on sale at sportchek from the look on their website. 284.97
with the 15% off from gift cards at Canadian tire this could be probably the lowest you could get it for a while. 239.97 minimum without doing the math if you buy more in gift cards to pay for the taxes.

calculations for new Brunswick. 284.97 x 15% tax = 328.00
328.00 x15% in gift card saving= 49.20.
328.00- 49.20 = 278.80 taxes included.

plus make sure to scan your triangle card at both places for your rewards.

in my experience you cant use a sign up promo on these but it could be ymmv.

No the sport 50 only go to 50. It is the Sport EXP that is expandable.

If anyone is looking in the metro Vancouver area, I was in the Abbotsford location today and they have one set on display. I would have grabbed em but I just bought the EXP model a few days ago.

Had been eyeing out both the Powerblocks and the Selecttechs for a couple of weeks now.
Just picked up the last pair in Winnipeg, thanks!

You will be glad you went with the powerblocks, the selecttechs are junk and have been known to fall apart on hard drops. Had the powerblocks for 4 years and they have taken a beating and still look and function like new.

Can anyone please tell me, which one would be a better product: Bowflex or these powerblocks? I was going to buy Bowflex until I saw this thread. I personally have never heard of this brand before so I am a little skeptical. Please share your experience / knowledge.

Sold my SelectTech for these. I much prefer these as they’re a smaller profile

I am on my second set of PB. After getting 50s I expanded to 90s and had to sell my old ones. There tends to be these on sale all over used pages like kijiji. Look there first.

PB advantages are you don’t need the stand to change the weight. Huge deal! The weights are balanced when removing. The disadvantage is the way the handle is design it limits range of motion. Some times getting the holding clip in can be finicky.

The bow flex are easier to do small changes. In comparison to add just 5lbs to PB you have to open them up and take the small add on out. The disadvantages of flex are long. Plastic. They don’t really work well upside down. You need the stand to change the weights. When only partially loaded the handles are awkward as you end up with lots of open space. The handles on the 90s are long and are always long. Good luck bench pressing with two parallel.

Power blocks kill bowflex weights hands down with my real world testing. Portable durable adjustable strong. Only draw back is limited hand placement and can’t do 5lbs adjustments easy.

The difference between wanting and needing is how you justify it.

I got them at $256.49 + tax - $85 last June 29. I took advantage of the promo free $75 canadian tire money when you spend $200 if you have canadian tire rewards card. So better get this if they have promo.

On the websites all of the stores in GVRD say OOS, but I did manage to call around and locate one.
