Sports leagues
I'm looking to join maybe a couple of sports leagues in Toronto... the main thing being I want to play within Toronto / not have to travel far for games.
It seems there are a number of options for soccer, for example. I have years of experience playing organized sports in a league but never registering/managing it myself (younger age, so my dad did..).
Does it matter what league you enter or anything like that? Or is it mostly just about location/type of league (coed, men, women, etc..)

There are a few leagues in Toronto. I think TSSC has a league for co-ed, men only, women only, recreational, etc).
However, I found TSSC leagues are not that competitive. But it could be just me.
Btw, it is probably too late to register for outdoor soccer league. You might want to think about indoor soccer leagues.
You can either register a team (i.e. find your own players) or register just yourself (i.e. join a random team that doesn't have enough players).

While I don't play soccer, I've played other sports in http://www.toronto.notsopro.com/ (formerly Toronto East Sports and Social Club) - most of their leagues are based in the east end.
While it's too late to sign up for summer sports, http://www.torontossc.com/ offers fall leagues which believe include indoor soccer, including a league at Lamport which is a quick streetcar ride from RFD's office.
