Once you hit Change or Cancel, then Update CC and clear out all CC fields and save it
It doesn't allow me to save it. Have you cancelled the premium account first?

Did you use the same google account for all of these?
I used guest accounts for Google Check out, used 4 different credit cards (my wife and I both have 2), and 4 different addresses.
Don't know if that's necessary, but didn't want to take any chances :)

Thx

You’ve reserved your Google Home Mini
Demand has been very high, so it might take a few days for your device to become available! We’ll email you at [email address] when it’s ready.
Go back to the link on in the OP and there will most likely be a link to order your mini right away.

Probably shouldn't post your email like that, bots can recognize it and you start getting spam emails. Plus you never know, one of us might sign you up to some weird shit. I did.

Fine print says does not apply to trials.

Yes. You need to go right to paying for the Premium account. Make a new account, then use the link from this thread to setup the Premium plan and order.

You guys are right! But I followed their links! I wonder if after 1 month free trial, I'll still be within their giveaway period and can redeem the GHM then!

Thanks OP! Reactivated my premium to get this offer. I'll just cancel at the end of the month :-)

Do I want to intentionally wire tap my home? Ill Pass
Most people already carry a device with multiple cameras and microphones on them 24/7. This is no different. If Google/Apple/The Government want to listen in on you, they already have the means to do so. So unless you don't own a smartphone, you are just fooling yourself in thinking that you are safe. Might as well enjoy the technology and convenience that voice assistants provide.

The tinfoil hat people aren't exactly wrong to be concerned about installing a listening device in your home. It's just that the benefits outweigh the negatives at the moment for most people. See, all they had to do was offer the carrot instead of the stick to make you install a surveillance device voluntarily in your own home. This offer is probably secretly funded by the CIA. :)

Actually when the GH Mini first came out, someone did some network monitoring on it and discovered that it was sending everything it heard to Google. Google said "oops, just an accident". They blamed it on a manufacturing fault, that the fabric cover was stretched too tight over the tap button on the top and was causing it to activate continuously. They disabled that button in the firmware rather than changing the manufacturing. Now in theory the device only starts transmitting to Google when it hears the trigger phrase. Probably. Unless there's a secret back door.
The issue with the mini was hardware related and not some conspiracy. If google wanted an always listening device it would have made one by design.. not some half baked design that flooded the device with HW button presses. That's just terrible design

Also had a payment issue so had to go through spotify customer service and it's being looked at by a "specialist". Hopefully they get back to us soon! lol
I emailed spotify. Is there a chat option somewhere? Or did you call?

Yes, cancelled
That's what I tried first; remove the premium subscription to allow me to remove the payment method. But once I remove the premium subscription, I didn't had access to payment methods anymore. Guess you have to call them directly to remove the payment method, it seems fishy.

Quick question guys, did you all immediately cancel your premium subscription once you got the google home confirmation or are you going to let it run it's course for a month or so?
