SSD + Win7 Question
Hi All - Im just building myself a new PC.. and would like to install Windows 7 on the SSD drive (OCZ Vertex) - Ive read briefly through some places online about the need to 'align' the drive prior to installing XP/Vista - is this the same for Windows 7?
Have others here installed Win7 on an SSD Drive -and if so, did you do any particular tweaks?
Thanks

You don't need to do alignment for Vista and Win7. They will do the alignment if you create the partition from inside the install disk. Win7 will also recognize if you have a SSD and disable certain things that aren't relevant to SSDs.
Just go to the OCZ forums if you need more info. Tons of FAQs and stickies there.
