Stairway to Heaven "satanic messages"

Lol, I found an email today, its 7 or 8 years old. (yes i have 8 year old emails in my hotmail)

The point was to listen to Stairway to heaven backwards, and then it said something along the lines of, if you don't send it to 5 people immediately, satan will have your soul. Typical Chain letter BS.

Anyways does anyone here think that LZ intended to put this "Satanic message" in their song? it sounds like total BS if you just listen to the song backwards without reading the backward lyrics.

I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to record messages in reverse and have them sound normal. Not to mention by these stoners, back in the day with the limited technology available to them, and even if they could, what if any effects it would have? Our brains dont process thing in reverse, we process what we hear/see, and fill in the blanks with what we understand (hence why without the reverse translation first, few of us would hear anything intelligble when played in reverse).

I'd heard about this 20yrs ago, but couldnt make anything out. This was the first time I could detect anything but nonsense. Even still the backwards lyrics dont make much sense to me, and thats with giving them a few words which I honestly dont hear, but see how someone perhaps could.

lol no, its not that, the link i posted is just a flash, it has that verse in both forward and backwards along with the lyrics.

yea i head about this long ago, but didn't believe it, and still don't. apparently there's a video on youtube, and it has the whole song backwards with made up nonsense.
