Doing some advertising for Staples. Best store ever. Amazing customer support. I'm doing a free ad for them because they deserve it 1000%. Hopefully they will never end up like other Canadian retailer such as Sears and will continue to thrive.

Long live Staples and hope you all keep considering it

(yes, their customer service impressed me that much that I feel like posting this).

On another hand I hope the Brick goes bankrupt ASAP

I’ve never heard of Saples.

Staples on the other hand has got to be one of the worst stores still in existence.

Product always OOS and Customer service is non existent.

I can think of a grand total of 2 items I’ve bought there in the past 10 years

I had a good experience with Staples. Guy who worked there went the 'extra mile' to find a product I was looking for. However, most of my experiences are quick anyways.

I agree the service is crap.

But it's one of the few retailers where you can sometimes actually make use their coupons.
Especially with products that never go on sale, plus the discounts are applied before tax.

Of course assuming product is in stock and will be delivered.

Never have we had a bad experience at Staples.
Still got to do your homework though... as they often have good prices, but may not always be the cheapest
Generally still good when things are on sale
We too have had good Customer Service experiences
(Sales Help - Advice - Warranties - Returns etc)

I’ve never been in a Staples. Never had to buy stationary and figured their electronics section was limited.

Staples on line is fine but Staples the store is terrible.

There are four or five employees not doing anything, trying to look busy, but trying to get any help or a question answered is always a problem.

Believe it or not, Staples has a extremely strong presence in the B2B market. They provide "solutions/one-stop shop" experience for companies with big or small offices... They drive almost 30% of our company's annual income and ahead of companies like Walmart/Bestbuy which is more towards consumer target audience.

Anytime I had an issue with staples (online) it's always been resolved satisfactorily. In regards to in-store customer support I agree with @krs

Though curious to know exactly what @Messerschmitt 's experience is that has caused him so much delight with the company.
Always hungry ;)

But Staples is a wholly owned subsidiary of an American company.
