These have basically never been on sale, especially for $50 off. I think the last time I saw it for less than this was when the Source had it for 360 with the PSP discount.

EDIT: Looking closer, it seems to start on the 17th of August which is a Friday and not a Wednesday so no opportunity to PM with anyone if it is a national promo.

That is a good deal, I'm using them daily at work. It's a lot of money for some headphones but god damn are they good.

Great headphones, but I do believe they are known for ANC rather than sound quality (at this price point).

Just FYI, most people cross shop these with Sony WH-1000XM2, went on sale for the same price point back in April.

With Bose, whenever there’s a sale, it will be universally available at the same price everywhere, so buy at the place with the biggest ebates.
RFD is not just about saving money, it's about the thrill of the hunt and not paying full price like Joe Shmoe did. This applies to everyday items as well as high end items that I don't really need.

Not 100% true. There are exceptions to this (ie. RBC Rewards; won't be on sale same time. Bose was on sale through them last week or two weeks ago, can't remember now). Bose schedules promos way in advance (something like 8-12 months) and often retail can't mix in with third-party resellers.

The only difference between these and the 1st gen is the Google Assistant integration

As far as retailers are concerned, the promos are basically universal. You should be able to buy it for that price at BB, Source, Amazon, Staples, and every independent retailer that carries it (Bay Bloor Radio).

RBC Rewards is something different, but Bose won't allow one retailer to undercut another retailer. That's why loopholes like the Source PSP are closed fast.
