Hi all,

Just browsing randomly through staples and came across the popular mesh chair:
https://www.staples.ca/en/Staples-Hyken ... CA_1_20001

It's currently at $184.82, but currently staples has $20 OFF $100 for office chairs coupon (check your email or the staples mega coupon thread, do not request coupons in this thread).

Price will be $164.82 pre-tax (I got this chair for the same price last year, excellent chair for its price point)

enjoy!

Just for reference. During the 50% off sale it was 142.xx but stock was hard to find. I bought 1 at the 164 and 142 price point.

I picked one up earlier this week and it's been pretty good so far.

I will point out though, that even at the highest setting the headrest would hit my shoulders when sitting normally (I'm 5'11). Unfortunate, but it can at least be easily removed.

Bought this the last time it was on sale. Been pretty good. I'm about 5'11" 210 lbs, no problems so far. The head rest as people complained about before, is kind of meh. It adjusts, but still find it kind of awkward. Other than that, the chair is great, like the back support and that it reclines good. Very breathable chair and it's light. Might buy this one for my dad now. Recommended

I received a 25$ off 75$ coupon by email. I wonder if I should waste it on that chair.... it feels like a waste to use such a coupon for anything more than 100$ :p

With a 5 year warranty, I guess the mesh will be a lot less supportive by year 6. Anyone have any long term experience with mesh chairs?

4.5 stars with 2628 reviews...... I'm sure you can find several long term opinions in there.

Tried it a few years back. Chair seemed comfortable but I couldn't make it fit. I'm 5'8.

The mesh wont be what has the wear and tear.. my previous one lasted 9 years (Quantum Pro 9000 from office depot). In 9 years i replaced the shock and the seat bolts. Mesh was same as day 1.

Some taller people are stating the headrest issue, you can actually remove the headrest as needed (removal part) if it becomes an issue. As for the chair, the mesh seems well built (not Herman Miller quality of course), but gets the job done. We have Herman Miller Mirra at work, if I were to rate comfort level for Mirra, it would be 8/10 and I would rate the Hyken 8.5/10. (really depends on personal preference though).

I just assembled it. I'll have some time to get adjusted to but looks pretty good for now. Thanks OP!

Thanks, bought one, missed the deal when it was half off, but this is close enough. I really wanted one of the Temperpedic Chairs that they sell for $399, does anybody know if they ever go on sale and how much?
