Hmmm not very efficient service. So basically somebody has to be home ALL day. I guess this is really meant more for business' rather than average joe.

I have requested my Laptop be sent to the Staples store tomorrow if it doesn't arrive here today. Yes I will stay home and perhaps they still haven't attempted here.

P.S I live in a condo/apt building.

If you live in a condo, you can usually ask them to receive/sign for the package for you (if you have a concierge/security gatehouse for your building of course).

Thanks for the codes. Just ordered this laptop with taxwiz to get it over $800, and used $80 worth of the 5 digit coupons.

but IME the delivery person does write down the date (and maybe the time) they attempted delivery on the packing slip.
so if on the 2nd attempt of delivery s/b is there to accept it, you might see this written down.

You won't be able to stack on another coupon for a $230 purchase. I guess I'll clarify on how coupons are applied. They first look at your total purchase amount (let's call it Z) before any discounts and taxes. This is what determines how many coupons you can use. You can apply X off Y coupons up to the point in which the sum of Y is equal to Z. Y has to always be less than or equal to Z. When purchasing online, there is a maximum usage of 2 16 digit coupons and 2 5 digit coupons.

Example: I have a $20 OFF $55 (5 digit), a $30 OFF $150 coupon (5 digit), and two $20 OFF $200 (16 digit)...
a) Total Purchase (Z) = $75 --> Possible Combinations:
1 x $20 OFF $55 (Y=$55 < Z=$75)
b) Total Purchase (Z) = $150 --> Possible Combinations:
1 x $30 OFF $150 (Y=$150 = Z=$150) OR
1 x $20 OFF $55 (Y=$55 < Z=$150)
c) Total Purchase (Z) = $200 --> Possible Combinations:
1 x $30 OFF $150 (Y=$150 < Z=$200) OR
1 x $20 OFF $200 (Y=$200 = Z=200) OR
1 x $20 OFF $55 (Y=$55 < Z=$200)
d) Total Purchase (Z) = $230 --> Possible Combinations:
1 x $30 OFF $150 + 1 x $20 OFF $55 (Y=$150+$55=$205 < Z=$230) OR
1 x $20 OFF $200 (Y=$200 < Z=$230) OR
1 x $30 OFF $150 (Y=$150 < Z=$230) OR
1 x $20 OFF $55 (Y=$55 < Z=$230)
e) Total Purchase (Z) = $510 --> You can apply all the coupons because...
1 x $30 OFF $150 + 1 x $20 OFF $55 + 2 x $20 OFF $200 (Y=$150+$55+$200+$200=$505 < Z=$510)

thing is, i've never recv'd >2 dividends coupons at a time, so there's no way i can try the 2 5-digit generic code stacked w/ 2 16-digit dividends code online.

the best i could do would prbly be 2 generics and 1 dividends code.

I just checked my credit card bill online and Staples has charged me for the $20 coupon (off $55) as a seperate charge that I used to buy speakers earlier this week.
If you recall this coupon was supposedly not supposed to work, but it did for a bunch of us.

My E-mail confirmation and delivery receipt clearly has the price with the coupon applied.

I don't see how they can do this.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Will be calling to complain.
