yeah true never thought about that, only difference is staples is 1080p and bestbuy's version is windows 10 pro vs windows 10 home. I used $30 off coupon and 100 air mile coupon from Staples Coupon thread.

Generation 4 Intel processor. So this laptop is already 4 years old. I usually dispose laptops at this time frame.

EDIT: why all the downvotes? I am warning newbies that would see 'i7' and think it is actually worth a lot of money...

I bought a E7240 spec'd the same as the one in the OP, back in June from dellrefurbished.ca for $442 incl taxes and shipping, and I'm very happy with it. I've had much better luck getting clean, good condition refurb units from dellrefurbished, and Lenovo, then from Staples, Bestbuy, and eBay.

Hence why these are showing up as refurbished! :) These are coming off company leases.

I would buy off of that site, but nothing right now even close to these specs. I wonder how much time I have to return to staples if the condition is poor?

An SSD will make this feel like a new laptop though if compared to a 7200rpm or 5400rpm HDD.

I would prefer to buy from staples because of easy returns in store within 14 days in case I don't like it.
