[Staples] Staples: Logitech G400 Optical Gaming Mouse - $29.99, $26.99 after PM@FS, or PM at ME

I saw this in the flyer earlier this week and think its a good deal, where Staples has the Logitech G400 wired USB gaming mouse for $29.

http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... bid=406246

FS and ME both have it for $59.99. After PM at FS, FS's price is: $26.99 and after PM at ME, ME's price is: $22.49.

See links below...
FS: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/-/10178426.aspx $59.99
ME: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX34188 $59.99

This was my top choice for my aging G5, up to the moment when I found out that G400 has no tilt wheel. Might not be a deal breaker for most, but once you extend mouse's functionality with those wheel clicks (which would have to be customized via software), it's very hard to go back.

Hot deal for a great mouse. I would've picked this up if I didn't grab the Razer Abyssus recently.

They have nothing they can base the refusal to PM on. Its not a clearance price.

They said boxing week. Should I try again?

Edit: Trying to find out what constitutes boxing week for FS.

Edit1:
Remember, the Price Beat promise does not apply to Boxing Day sale prices (Dec. 26th & 27th) or Boxing Week Limited Quantity Flyer Prices.

Bought it with some other items from Staples like the Microsoft Curve 3000 keyboard that's supposed to be quiet. Using the MX510 and still loving it, hope this is as good!

I actually prefer the MX510 over the G400. The smaller mouse feet allows it to glide better (even better with teflon tape). Only real addition besides the feet is the enhanced refresh rate and DPI, but the refresh rate you can hack with the MX500 to be the same anyway. Also prefer the matte feel of the MX500 casing over the glossy feel of the G400. Also I like rubber dome keyboards over mechanical for the fact that they are silent (and can't be overheard over Skype calls) so I'd say that KB's a good choice.

If you want a different mouse you can try this Logitech G300 one (with more buttons). Bestbuy has it for $24.99 and you can PM with BB ($22.49) or ME ($21.24):

I saw that on FS website when I wanted to PM. No PM boxing week flyers.

This is a great gaming mouse. I have been using the MX518 (since 2006) which has now been discontinued and replaced by G400 by Logitech. Will have to go to local staples and hope they have stock.

Want. But can't justify $27 for it when my beloved MX518 is still epic.
