Strange.. says : Was $359.95, Now $259.95! Save $100.00!
but it shows up at 271.95 no biggy though.. but too bad i won't be buying, looks like a pretty good deal for a low-mid end monitor. Resolution is okay, contrast ratio seems a bit low... but still a good buy, can't find many 22'' monitors for 260 or 270.. in my case

It's actually $239.95 + taxes once you apply the $20 coupon (76443). Not a hot deal but not bad for a Samsung.

and if you buy 2, you can stack 2 x $20 off $150, and a $20 off $200

that's $459.90, or around $230 each

from what I've searched online, it looks like it's a TFT LCD with a TN panel

I currently have a Dell UltraSharp 2007FP 20.1-inch Flat Panel LCD sitting on my desk at home but it's borrowed and I have give it back to my buddy when he returns from work away at the end of next month. I can't go back to a 15.4" laptop screen after this!

This Samsung seems to be a decent price, cheaper than the 2007FP when it's on sale (~$360 IIRC). Is the Samsung worth buying?

Contrast ratio rating is pretty bad on this panel. Doesn't look like its that good of a deal to me.

I have this monitor and backlighting is a problem, I'm pretty sure it's common to all 225BW's

i would pick one up if it was the 226BW so it would match my current one but I don't want 2 mismatched monitors

This is a TN based monitor. I bought this from Future Shop back in December 24, 2006 for $399 and have been very happy with it. The height adjustable stand (HAS) is great and works great as a TV via the HDMI/DVI cable (HDCP compatible).

I would jump all over this monitor if I needed another 22" wide screen. For the price, you can't go wrong.
