I started using SimpleTax.ca for free last year and couldn't be happier. Will use again this year.

I used the free one to file my taxes the other day, seemed good enough for 90% of people.

If you have employment expenses you cannot file right now. Supposedly fixed by March...

Simple or Studio tax are better options for most. Both are free and easy to use. Simple is bit more user friendly.

I swapped to simpletax and have been actually happy with the free software I even threw em $10 last time just cause it's really decent. Like I know TurboTax is popular but really it seems past its prime with Simpletax.ca now being there.

Still good find OP

I used studio tax for self-employed, just need to manually apply the half year rule for the CCA

I got this email from Staples. Not sure if you can combine it or targeted. You can try if it works.

Below is the fine print:
†In Store Only Offers: 15% off most in-store purchases that exclude technology† (such as computer hardware, software and peripherals, machines, ink & toner, installation and extended warranties, and Bose products); and/or 10% off in-store technology purchases that exclude Bose products^. Both In-Store Only offers redeemable February 21 – 23, 2019. Offer does not apply to postage stamps, computer rentals, pay-at-self-serve copying, gift cards, phone cards, or prior purchases, and cannot be combined with associate discount or any other coupons/offers. Coupon must be surrendered. Limit of one coupon per customer. Staples reserves the right to limit quantities. Offer valid in Canada only. Additional exclusions may apply; ask an associate for details.

‡Online Only Offers: redeemable only with purchases made at Staples.ca February 21 – 23, 2019. Offer does not apply to Bose products, downloadable software, services, business service provider or custom-printing service provider Web sites, gift cards, dining/activity/getaway packages, phone cards, or postage stamps. Minimum purchase requirement must be met; taxes and shipping not included in calculating minimum purchase. Limit: one coupon per customer. Coupon must be surrendered; cannot be combined with any other coupon. No copies/facsimiles. No cash/credit back. Staples reserves the right to limit quantities. Offer valid in Canada only. If you are a basic person, not self employed, don't have your own business, don't have crazy medical bill write offs, use SimpleTax.
