Verbatim AZO DVD-R 16x, 25-disc spindle clearance price is $14.97. Found only one on the clearance table for additional 75% off at the Staples West Georgia Street location in Vancouver. Checked another store in downtown and one near Metrotown, but neither one has these discs on clearance. Looks like it's store-specific. Extreme YMMV.

Memorex DVD+R 16x 100-disc spindle clearance price is $29.97. $7.49 after 75% discount at West Georgia street location. 3 spindles available. I bought the last DVD-R spindle instead for $7.49. That's probably what the Memorex discs should actually cost, since these are not highly rated. Good for giveaways, but not for long-term storage.

Nice - a few years back I bought Memorex discs for $8 a pop at Canadian tire, I think I ended up with 3000 of them in total (always left a bunch on the shelf, not a horder, and I did use them not flip them)

Always have my eyes on sales - the 50 packs of the Verbatims were on sale the other day for $15 and picked a few up, $30/100 is my buy price for those. Getting them on clearance would be gravy - I'll check at a few staples this week & report back

Found these at Burlington, ON Staples - Fairview st location. They also had 2.97 bd-r and packs of 3 DVD-r DL in jewel cases for 7.97. All the blank media on clearance had an additional 25% off clearance. Since the first WD TV came out I haven't burned any optical discs.. Still have plenty that have been sitting for years.

good deal if you still use DVD-Rs/+Rs but i am sure many have migrated towards hard drives.. i think DVD-Rs/+Rs are becoming obsolete. i do keep 50 spare disks as backup, just in case i need it.
