BUT then you would only be paying $200 for your 'exclusive' card, not $300.... silly peasant!

Pretty sure OP misread the "deal" and posted it here. There's no way that this can be considered a Hot Deal.
I love RFD! :)

LOL "exclusive rewards" means the same rewards as someone with a plastic card. This is literally the dumbest thing EVER, especially since mom may likely have a phone and will simply use phone app. LOL.

I've been a registered RFD user for TWELVE YEARS.
I have never seen a post like this.
I can't tell if the OP was posting ironically. I hope so.
Buying this would mean you neither love nor value yourself, your money nor your mother. Your true love would have to be Starbucks, the real beneficiary of your dysfunctional relationship with money.

Here's an even more prestigious one (aka more expensive) - one with a proven sale, no less Hurry up, only 2 left (nb: available once SB ships).

We're doomed as a species. At least I just used my last few dollars on the SB card. Never buying from them again!

I agree. Also a US only deal, and one of the few I'm happy to miss out on.

Also I'm sure only big Starbucks drinkers would want this card. IMO they should get it for free for being a loyal customer, not pay $150 for a token reward such as this. It's like the opposite of any other rewards program.

I bought their sterling silver one last year that was $200 with $50, but I flipped it on ebay afterwards to some girl in New Jersey for $350.

Not worth the trouble if you ask me. Posts like this don't belong on RFD but they serve as a bonding experience and reminder that we will never overpay, we will always seek a sale, we will get more bang for buck.

If for some reason you are actually thinking of getting one, consider this: their sterling card was of very poor quality, and stopped working for most users as per their website
So even if you got the money, and want to do something nice, just don't buy this card mmkay?

Sterling Card Reviews

I think its actually pretty clever, and if they added perks to certain gift cards, like accelerated reward earn rate, etc, etc, they would actually sell quite well

Amazing deal for mothers day! you get $50 at starbucks for only $200 and it comes with a metal and ceramic gift card. I wanted to stock up and buy at least 10 for such a good deal, but unfortunately its 1 per customer.

So $150 for the metal and ceramic card?
