I get lots of e-mails from Starbucks as a Gold member. A lot require me to 'join the dash' or let me know that I can get bonus stars by purchasing X, Y, Z within a certain time period. I don't religiously hunt stars but some of the offers are good!

Could someone explain the free refill? Is it still if I purchase any drink? Eg. buy a frap, get a free cold brew? Does it work if I redeem a reward, or code for the first drink?

Free refill is only for gold member and applies to brewed coffee or hot tea only in one seating. You cannot leaving the store and come back later for the free refill. They will scan your membership card again for the refill. I don't know how many refills are allowed in one seating. I only did one refill per seating. No free refill for the specialty drinks like Frag. or cold brew etc.

Actually, when they changed the reward program, free refills are for green members as well.

Good for hot or iced coffee or tea.

Your original purchase can be anything, but the refill - during the same visit - has to be one of the above.

Is there any way possible to load less than $10 on a Starbucks card? I never go to Starbucks (anymore, after they got rid of the free flavour shots and soy milk) but it seems like you need to make at least 1 purchase every 12 months to maintain Green Level status to get my birthday reward.

The main reason I still go to Starbucks is the free refill. I buy a nice first drink, like a frap or latté & then get my iced coffee refill. I have gotten 2/3 in one sitting before. Yeah, I likely paid close to $5 for my initial drink, but factor in 2 refills and it's cheap.

Usually I get one refill to drink in-store while studying and another right before I leave.

My offers have been sucking lately. I need to go to Starbucks less to get better offers. I just got offer of 5 purchases = 50 stars and 8 purchases =150 stars. Yeah no thanks.

You can go in store and reload for $5 which I have done many times.

Usually 2 - 3 times per year. Last April and July. May be one last fall sometime.

Had a really good stack last weekend.

Star Dash: 100 stars for 1 breakfast sandwich purchase
40 stars for ordering breakfast with mobile on Fridays or Saturdays
30 stars for ordering before 10 am

Set an alarm, make a mobile order for a sandwich, collect 170 stars.
