Thanks OP. I'll get the better ones that I haven't gotten as part of any of the Linux Humble Bundles

I love linux for a lot of things, but gaming is not one of them. Maybe it will get better with time, and Steam kind of starting to back it a little bit extra now is probably going to help but the major problem with gaming and the linux desktop is piss poor GPU driver support even though it is a lot better now than even 5 years ago it is still a really sad state of affairs from the major players.

My system probably won't be able to handle most games, but I'll give it a look. Thanks!

I've was a beta tester for the steam linux client and I suggest you give it a try, I've been getting very decent results with my ATI Radeon HD6870 on most games.

I also recommend Bastion. Awesome game, great story and commentary.
Missed out on FTL the first time around, won't make the same mistake this time!

I assume these games if I purchase them will work on windows? Not just linux versions that are on sale? I don't use linux currently.
But I assume all the games listed have a linux port, if I wanted to run steam on linux at a later date.Last edited by andrewabc; Feb 14th, 2013 at 04:44 PM.

What's the best 4.99 game on there? I already have Bastion. I'd love to find a game that can run on my old netbook but it seems like a lot of games balk at weird resolutions that netbooks have.

No mention of crusader kings II (from commentors)?
Looks like a good game, and with 3 expansions on sale as well. I'll probably get since it has been on my wishlist since I missed it during holiday sale.
There is also a game of thrones mod for it. So looks like lots of replayability.
