Why is valve having all these sales right after the autumn sale? Should we not be expecting a winter sale this year?

Steam usually has 2 sales in the week; midweek madness and the weekend sale. It's a regular occurrence =p

I had to get a $4 PCI usb card back in the day to get a chipset that would work with my TE stick since the ports in the machine apparently didn't work... not a big deal or cost but annoying. I have no idea what the state of affairs is today for the USB compatibility on more modern hardware I have yet to try it with my newer z77 board but I guess I should. My new board doesn't have any PCI on it, just PCIe so I guess I would have to find myself another ebay/dx type expansion card if it doesn't work.
As for the deal, I'm pretty sure this game bombed out of the gates so it seems a bit overpriced to me still, expect it to go lower.
