Reddit has a dedicated thread each day focusing on featured deals for the day, even though the sales themselves run the entire duration. Nice way to share and learn about recommendations.

Discussion for day 1 here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/comm ... 019_day_1/

Also a nice summary of historical lows averaged with wishlist ratings here: https://gg.deals/deals/steam-summer-sale-2019/

Wow, these prices are pretty bad right now.

It's "controversial" to say for some reason, but Epic Game Store really showed them up on their last big sale.
thats not surprising cheaper companies ususally offer better deals but on worse platform and support
its like you can buy 30$ phone plan from freedom or stick to the regular 50$+ for telus rogers or bell.
eventually the prices will normalize for epic because they need to make money too but its garbage that they are paying for games to be exclusive to their platform.
keep that exclusive shit out of pc all games should be available on whichever platform you choose.
started with activision and ea moving some games to origin and battlenet. now its happening to unreleased games coming on epic.
they should atleast be like ubisoft and have their games on steam aswell so you can choose where to buy.

old sega roms are awsome no dlc or season pass required
Just for saying that, you are a cool dude in my eyes.

Still, I just purged my list of everything BUT stuff that's 1) not released (who knows? maybe pre-orders count) 2) recent releases that haven't been discounted and 3) stuff I love but isn't discounted enough to buy... yet...

This is RFD, after all. I feel if you end up being one of the lucky chosen and saved $10 on an indie, you'd be letting down our good penny pinching community when you could have saved $80 on something else that came out yesterday.

I checked my wishlist and my wallet is safe. It used to be a dangerous thing to check a Steam sale. No longer!

The mini game event is the most confusing one ever, and rewards generally suck except the $6 off for 15,000 points.

You would think that after so many years, they would invest more money and fix the backend, but no...let's watch it crash and burn nearly every single year.

Damn I wasn't expecting much but the discounts on my wishlist are ice cold. Divinity OS2 has been $30-35 for like a year and a half now and I don't see any worthwhile discounts on any other recent games.

Wasn't it like $15 or something a month ago?
