Bunch of whiners.
Don't park your car on the street then. If something gets damaged, tough. If you don't have enough room to park you car on the drive way. Tough. It's the risk you take by parking on the street.
People complain how kids are obese and do nothing but sit around all day playing xbox and playstation. When they go out on the street to do something active people complain that how their car might get damaged. Parks aren't always accessible for kids.

Don't get me wrong
Playing catch with a tennis ball, foot ball with a nerf ball, I don't give a ****.
Attempting to throw a football the whole length of the street (they can't catch) when cars (besides mine) are parked on both sides of the street, is obviously asking for trouble.
There's a park a FIVE minute walk away, but I guess because their kids its just okay?

Aug 25th, 2006 08:42 PM #19Sounds like you live in a congested street. The sign should have a number for you to call isn't there?

Truth is, I saw a phone number to the city about this. Silly me, I thought it would never happen. I was hoping someone would have the number, but I guess not.

Aug 25th, 2006 10:38 PM #22If I had it I would give it to you. I have a teen with his 4-6 buddies that like to do jumps off of a ramp using skateboards on Sunday afternoons. It is worse than annoying to have to listen to the sound of a skateboard slapping to the road every time one of them misses to ramp.

It was about 5 minutes before they knew how to aim them at the old lady's house on the corner. She is 92 and terrified of the kids.
BTW The same teens that use the skateboard are the same guys that hang around the small strip mall 4 blocks away. Seems funny to me that every few nights a cab drops off 2 young ladies. After they exit the cab everyone goes to the rear of the place for about 20 mins. Then they all come around to the front and a cab leaves with the girls in it. Somehow they seem different for about another 20 mins. They laugh at the silliest things. That is when the variety store does about $25.00-30.00 selling chips, peanuts, chocolate bars and assorted candy.

Fight fire with fire...get your own friends and start playing baseball in front of each of their houses...or better yet, paintball.

Heheh...I'm glad I live in a new development now, no teenagers yet! It's all young families, I have a good ten years before I have to deal with the hassles that come with that age. Where I lived before was older, and had lots of bored teens, we had stuff stolen or damaged all the time.

Well, if you're willing to pay for all damages to all our properties then I'm sure we'll all stop acting like an old crotchy lady. It's all fun and games till it comes out of your pocket.

Kids should be playing in a recreational area and not on the street. Children playing on the street have lazy parents who couldn't be bothered to take their child to the park.
