So can you apply for that specific position only when the position is available?
Cus when you go here now: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/job-emploi/b ... e-eng.html
you can see the message stating there is no positions available at this moment.
...

or am i supposed to apply here: https://psjobs-emploisfp.psc-cfp.gc.ca/ ... anguage=en ?

thanks a lot guys

They do mass hirings rather than individual applicants - for example, when I wrote the test, there was about 500 others in the room. Just keep checking back every few weeks for another mass opening.

I don't think you can go directly in as a full-time border services officer as of now (and for quite a while). They hire the students that want to become full-timers first because they've been trained already. Even then, there's still no guarantee of getting in.

I never took the job. During the recruitment process, I was offered a job at a municipal police department (non-CBSA) instead and took it.

I have a few friends that went through the same process - one guy went to postal (downtown Vancouver) and my roommate, not sure where she ended up, somewhere up in northern BC!
Oh that's a really good opportunity too. I got lucky and I was able to take on many of the full-timer duties. I also managed to switch departments from the monotonous front line work.

Hopefully ill be working at Pearson international
