Student discounts

Hi, I work full time but I take some evening courses at the university towards a Master's degree. What kind of discounts and advantages can I get using my new student ID card ?

Not sure if its all locations but Sobeys and Metro give 10‰ to students. Metro is Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and I think sobeys is everyday

Software suites (Office, Photoshop) are also pretty deeply discounted for students

RBC offers free unlimited banking accounts for full-time students. My student ID card doesn't say if I'm a part-time or full-time student. Would I be able to get this deal ?

RBC student small print: "9 RBC Student Banking® and RBC No Limit Banking for Students® accounts are available to any full-time student upon presentation of student identification."

Depends on the person opening the account. I've had student chequing with TD and when I renew it each year sometimes just my ID is OK and other times they've wanted a copy of my fall and winter schedules

I did the same, p/t masters. Public transit discounts in Toronto are only for full time students. You can file your taxes on ufile for free though.

Since OP is in Quebec, I'll add that Provigo does this on Mondays. In the greater Montreal at least; never looked outside.

I was able to get RBC No Limit account for students for free (with the multi-product rebate) using my student id, no questions asked. My student card doesn't mention if I'm full time or part time)

I was also able to get:
  • ISIC card which is useful for Via Rail and Porter airline discounts.
  • Student discounts at Cineplex theatres
