omg i just went there on sunday!!
I went to the place behind Spellbound called Glamour Style (or something) and I got a cut and color, and it turned out to be around $100. I definitely think it was worth it!!! omg the guy made my hair so nice, I'm not joking. And when i didn't like the cut the first time, he cut it again for me, then colored it, and it turned out really great.
The only thing tho, he kinda gave me some attitude when i told him exactly what i wanted. I said the front was kinda "blocky" cus it was this huge flat cut piece and I wanted it more feathered, and he was like all rude "blocky??? what is this blocky?!!" urg...whatever. I just continued being really polite and complimenting his haircut afterwards, but i left no tip!
The girl at the counter was nice too....overall, a good place, I'd go there again. $40 for the cut tho...yikes, maybe just once a year.

I don't know.... if I didn't leave any tip, I wouldn't trust my hair under the same hands again. Unless he's the owner of the place.

I've followed the owner of Spellbound since he's been cutting in his basement many moons ago. He's great with most styles. I've seen him cut some crazy hair and he's especially great at the shorter styles. BUT I've noticed that its the more Asian inspired Japanese/HK looks. It's definitely not for everyones tastes.
They are pretty expensive however. But demand has created this.
I've done the cut, dye, style, updo, fake extensions with Spellbound. Even my mom has gotten the perm there. I'm over it. My coif is naturally black and long now
If you want cutting edge and funky then here's your place. And if you have some disposable income.

Any asians out there that can recommend a place with stylists who don't specialize in HK/*** style hair? I don't mind paying the money if the cut is good, and I've been going to glamour zone myself recently and I like it. I've just heard from friends past experiences that non-asian places don't seem to know how to cut asian hair. Don't know if that's totally false or anything, but I'm up for suggestions from anyone with their own experience at their salons
