I actually don't mind Subway. I always get the Subway Club which has a lot of meat on it. At Quizno's you can't go wrong with the Chicken Carbonara that's made with big chunks of chicken breast meat instead of slices. The Meatball Marinara is also pretty good. As for cost, I don't think it's unreasonable for these places to raise their prices somewhat in this economy. It's just a fact of life that increased operating costs will be passed onto the consumer.

For $2 the sammis are like taco size. You would have to eat at least 5 to get the amount in the bullet sandwich almost.
Best deal, maybe for $2 is Tim Hortons $2 wrap or maybe mcdonalds chicken wrap whatever...
Harveys veggie burger is $4.50 w tax for just the burger and they are so good! (or well the best fast food veggie burger that is, no more licks around here...boo hoo).
With the SPC card there are still a few deals I think pizza pizza is $3 drink and slice?
Subway is ok. Meh bread cheap for the 6" veggie sub. the vegies are very fresh.
Just thought of this. Swiss chalet can be cheap. You can order online for pick up and hopefully know a free promo code you can use.
or else if u eat in there is still there is the free appetizer with the spc card.
Pizza pizza actually a good deal is the walk in medium pizza it is $6.99 for pepperoni. but they also have large pizza for $9.99 delivery after 9pm had that last week.
But since this is a cheapness thread Tim Hortons $1.99 chicken wrap seems like the best value.

McDonalds Snack wrap is more like $2.89 + taxes. Not even close from the $2 mark.

That's basically to cover the cost of the higher minimum wage, and of course, food inflation.

Good bye Subway hello Mr. Sub and Quizno's. $6.00 something for their Meatball or Veggie is a rip off.

LOL, go to Quizblows and see what a veggie sub costs you. Also have fun when they don't accept any of the zillions of the coupons they print and distribute and post online. Saying "hello" to Quizblows is saying hello to getting scammed.

I'm liking subway less and less. The food's pretty expensive and they skimp on the toppings. Quiznos is so much more worth it (at least the one I frequent). I don't like their portions either because for me a 6-inch subway is too small but a 12-inch is too big!
Although quiznos's subs are so fattening that you really shouldn't eat that too often..

I hate the different pricing at different regions. At where I am, the cheapest 12" are $6.29.
Regardless, I don't think I'll be going to subways much anymore.
