Suggestions on Netbook!

Hey guys

I am thinking of buying a netbook for my Fiancée who is in Pakistan. Mainly for web surfing, chatting etc.

I was thinking of this: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/P ... 2(ME).aspx - Acer Aspire One 255-2675

its only $225! but not sure if there are any other good deals out there on something better or what everyones opinion is on the quality of Acer...

thanks in advance!

I'm not exactly sure about the 255, but I am actually typing on a 250 ATM which I got from SDM for $250. Simply put, any office task is more than possible on these small little PCs. The only problem I'd say was re-formatting. I had to re-flash the BIOS in order to have the chipset drivers and in consequence the SATA driver work. Just a whole pain in the ass. Lack of overclocking is also a pain. However, besides that, I'd say it would be more or less like a regular computer. Word, Excel, some flash content here and there, add a little bit of AVI, music, and an agree-able size HD, just great. Haven't had any problems with the monitor, keyboard; besides those small snags, I'd say it is pretty much like any other netbook. Atoms paired with a puny little 600p monitor.

Recommended.
