good luck with that one. Generally 36 is the smallest size out for men, I find I can find more tailored jackets in a 36, i can imagine the international suits are generously cut.
I'd try looking at vintage shops, that would be your best bet for trying to find a tailored jacket for that price.. You really otta re consider your budget.

Suit for $150?
I'm looking for a good suit preferrably black with white stripes spaced closely apart. I'm 5'5 and the smallest size at Internationals was 36 and the blazer looked more like a trenchcoat on me. I didn't want it to be tailored since the suit would look unproportional. I haven't had a chance to check out The Bay or anything else really. Main concern is budjet. I would like the blazer and pants for $150 Tax in. Thank you for any suggestions.

Yes, you are probably going to have to get it tailored. I'm assuming you are a guy, and there isn't really a male equivalent of ladies' petite.
Mexx had pretty good suits a few years back. But I think it cost more than your budget.

This eBay seller has size 34S suits that are around your price range:
http://search.stores.ebay.com/search...f_query=firado
I bought a suit from this guy before...service was very good. The suit itself had nice fabric but was a generous cut...not slim fit.
Most mainstream stores like the Bay will not have anything smaller than 36. And most mainstream RTW suits are cut pretty wide around the waist. If you don't want to use eBay, keep looking for the right size. Don't buy something that's slightly too big around the shoulders - it'll make you look even shorter and smaller.Last edited by trusoulja2g; Sep 8th, 2006 at 04:44 AM.

Browns has shorter men's apparel that fits better if you are under 5'8".

Oh, right. Brown's will almost certainly have your size. Maybe not in the $150 price range though.

I've been to browns when I was looking for a suit for a business competition. From what I remember, there wasn't anything that really fit well (I'm 5'7ish). I chanced on a suit at Le Chateau (a bit long, but still many times better than anything I've found so far in Canada). It didn't cost much either, if not under $150 then slightly over. My other suit is from HK, and if you get a chance, the selection there should be great since USUALLY chinese people are slimmer and shorter.
