Agreed. Most people look best in double-vented, but this is more expensive to manufacture.

Single-vented was made for people who regularly rode horses, and looks very good draped over a horse's butt.
So if you don't ride horses, only get single vented if you have a large posterior.

Typically side vents work best. A bit hard to find anything but side vents unless you're going MTM.

OMG ...people here have no understanding of classics !

Double vents are for double breasted jackets and normally look Mafiaish if you don't wear it right !
Single vented jackets and blazers are classics, timeless and can be worn anytime with anything !
Is this the middle class mentality that thinks you are getting more by having more vents ?

Is there a 'who cares' option? LOL. It's like saying what material is the sole when looking at a shoe for aesthetics. No one goes "Damn! Look at them double vents, this guy is GQ!" LMAO.
Hard work, inheritance, interest on interest accumulating, and stock and real estate speculation. It's all good.

Ha! So true. All my suits have double vent, but b/c of my "bubble butt" (per my wife), it looks I have a butt flap. Getting a MTM sportscoat made with single vent.

I have all 3 on my sports jackets and I prefer single. No vents is pretty old school, you don't see that now a days.

Ventless are for mid waist coats, somehow some idiot designer incorporated it into a longer coat thinking it was avant-garde styling.
You can find ventless coats in some bargain bin because it was just a passing fade, not a classic !

The true ventless mid waist mess jacket in true midnight blue

True Shawl collar dinner jacket in midnight blue, not black like 99.9% of the cheap tuxedo jackets you see everywhere today !

Actually my ventless blazers tend to be a little shorter. It would not be practical to have a ventless long blazer. Most probably think Ventless blazers are a little dated, you can actually find them these days but with smaller niche brands:
I have the below:
