I get paid $13 an hour for ten hours a day doing a factory job. It's tough and boring but it pays good. Im gonna quit in 2 weeks and spend all that money (saved up about $2000) on clothes.

Blizzard sucks. Even with a game that requires constant online access, they can't prevent their economy from being exploited.

I know a buddy who does this... brings home $6000 - 7000 paycheques.
I may look into it myself...

Can you tell us about your experience?

$42/hr. 56 to 60 hours a week since May 7th until September 4th. Class starts on September 5th.

I work for AMEC in Calgary on an oil-sands project.

Unlike the rest of my fellow students here, I have a wife and daughter to support, so I have no choice but to make grown-up money (I'm turning 31 years old soon).

If I didn't make what I make, I couldn't have the mutually exclusive roles of father, masters student (which oddly enough the university pays for), and numismatist.

Nice gig working for big oil in Calgary. My friends have worked for big oil in the past and made close to that kind of money but they were all out in Fort Mac.

That sounds great! How did you end up obtaining the internship, if you don't mind I asking?

I make 11$/hr working in a call center, but it's not a summer job. I'll be working during university as well (less hours though).

Found it through Waterloo's co-op system. I made an effort to do more extracurricular dev. work outside of school before I started looking and I guess it paid off.
