Sun damage doesn't look like yellow spots. Sun damage in 4 years... I have 2001 echo parked in full sun and I don't see sun damage yet. Could the spots be caused by cigarette burns?

Sun damage on cars interior...
I just bought a used 2003 toyota corolla and it runs amazing, but I just can't get over the yellow spots all over the inside of the car. They're on the seats, dash, and even the areas around the car doors. Is there anything I can do? Are they permanent? Would it help if I brought it into a shop and got them to clean it? It's...just...so..UGLY!! Thanks in advance for any help..

i don't know what the yellow spots could be from but it doesn't sound like it's from the sun. i don't think it's from cigarette burns as well. cigarette burns will eat right through causing a hole or a darker spot.

Maybe take it to some detailing service and they should be able to try to get rid of some of the spots. Don't have any off-hand, but if I were you I would of, if you didn't, reason down the price you paid for the car cause obviously there was some excess of something done and in return the car's value should of been less. I've never seen these kind of spots your referring to, not even on cars 30-50 years old.
