SUV Need Help
Hi again everyone.. I need your expert advise.. I am considering buying a SUV now since the Acura TL didn't work out. I have shortlisted a 2005 Toyota Highlander with 120K - for $13500, Its a Toyota Certified Used vehicle with 20K kms and 1 year power train warranty. Its one owner, V6, no accidents. I drove it and it drove very well, almost like a car. But here is the delimma for the same price, I believe I could buy a 2007 Ford Escape with much lower Kms..So here is where I need your help
1) Is 13500$ too much for a car that has already done 120K Kms..
2) Does any one have a highlander and has considered a Ford Escape.. what was the decisioning behind choosing one or the other
3) Is Ford escape now as reliable as a Toyota highlander
Thanks much

I have both vehicles!!! My Highlander is a 2004 and my escape is a 2008. Personally I love the Escape. It drives just as smooth as the Highlander. One thing that I really noticed in my Escape that I considered far better than the Highlander is the brakes. The escape pedal is much more firmer and the truck stops on a dime, whereas the Highlander is a bit more softer. On the downside, Ford built the emergency release handle too low. I wish it was like my Highlander where the emergency brake is a foot release.
