Swagbucks - free gift cards and other prizes

I think you can only get books and cds from amazon.com. I am not sure, but that's what I heard.

Hopefully you guys win a 20 or a 10 and not the common $1 SB's. I've only won once over $2 SB - it was a $20 SB bill so i guess I am pretty lucky

Just get used to using swagbucks as your normal way to search and you'll be rewarded one day..

I tried this for about 5 minutes and gave up. Basically every search I do the entire first page is sponsored results.

I rely on high quality results from Google too much to use this.

I'm a bit undecided about this swagbucks. My first problem is that I already have two toolbars installed to earn points from My Points and airmiles from Airmiles, this is already a pain in the butt and neither produce good results.

Then I look at the swagbucks prizes and there is almost nothing that I want, the only exception being maybe the amazon ecards but even then I'm hesitant as the shipping will probably kill me on amazon.com orders. Aside from the fact that even the big prizes don't interest me, the big prizes are too far away for me to even consider.

I made 8 swagbucks yesterday, my first day - it's going to be a long time before I earn enough for anything.

I'm using all three searches just to go to sites I was going to anyways as the results from all three are less than desirable, the bookmarking suggestion for swagbucks is a good idea and probably the most painless way to get the occasional swagbuck.

I've done some looking around and see they post bonus swagbuck codes periodically on the blog and on facebook but they seem to go fast - they tend to be available for a very short period of time or for a set number of people. (first 99 people, first 300 people)

On the upside, I get the impression they are adding new prizes pretty regularly so maybe by the time I have a decent amount of swagbucks, there will be something I'm interested in.

there are also starbucks gift cards which i'm sure most people can use. I think they are pretty new and they are adding more prizes hopefully.

i haven't received a single SB from searching for the entire day. Is it just plain luck? Note: I haven't been spamming searches (just using it like a regular google search engine)

Thanks for the post. I signed up yesterday and now i have 10 swagbucks. It will take me a long time to get anything i really want..but its free . I just want to know, how is it that you know there is a time limit on searches. I was looking at the 'how it works' portion of the site(not very helpful) and the FAQs and i could not find how many times u are allowed to search. It makes it seem as if u can search indefinitely and u are awarded swagbucks randomly.

I toyed with it a bit (just signed up today -- ty)

and I tried cheating it Air Miles stay and no luck, then I noticed that I got a swagbuck after some random search and figured it was based on an X time interval (ie: 1 swag every... hour or something), but that doesn't seem to be the case either.

I think it is a time limit because that's what i read from other 'experienced' swag buckers on their blogs. I've used it for about a week now and I can access the internet regularly throughout the day, and based on experience..after i win a swagbuck from a search, i won't get one for the next hour or 2. And I seem to be able to win every couple hours. Definitely immediately after I win a swagbuck, it is not likely you will win again for the next hour. It's happened once. It was about 20 minutes after and I was quite surprised because I wasn't expecting it but I was just using my swagged bookmarks and i won.

Mechanical: are you sure you are logged in? Make sure you're login name is in the top right of your screen.

I win about 5-6 times a day. I don't surf throughout the day but I access the internet in 1-2 hour intervals.

Sometimes I will go away for a couple hours and I come back and I am expecting to win one..but i don't. So who knows.... I find if you search too often in a short time span...i never win anything.

You do not have to be logged in to win a Swag Buck. Just make sure you search with the Swag Buck search engine and you will be equally likely to win one. As soon as you see a win, it gives you the option to login and redeem your SB.

Im on the internet all day and I only get like 3 or 4 a day. Lame. at least with 10 a day I might be able to get something good after a year. Im not the type to bother to do this for a $5 gift card.

There was a 2SB code posted on Twitter 2 hours ago, good for the first 1,000 people, I, of course, am too late.

Only got 2 SBs yesterday and 1 today.
