An0nymz, could you possibly edit the title of the new thread?
ie.
OFFICIAL Swagbucks Thread - CODES ONLY
somethign like that? putting update makes it seem like you're informing us about something and a discussion is in order?
or is that just me?

Hee hee, that boo boo reminded me... you only get one email notification. This is a feature to keep your inbox from getting flooded. To resume getting messages you gotta visit the thread while logged in.

i just got notification of the 2nd post at 1:29pm, it was posted at 1:23pm
edit- my post time is 1:27pm on the RFD clock, but my computer clock was reading 1:29pm when I got the post, so I guess it was actually about 3 minutes for the email notification...

You guys can also get the notifications delivered to your cellphone if your email provider has mail filtering and forwarding (Gmail for instance). Then you can create a filter for emails with "Swagbucks - NEW CODES" as subject, and forward it to your phone's email address (supposing your carrier has that service).
I can post detailed instructions if there's demand for it.

You may need to sign up for this service, and you may get charged, depending on your carrier/plan.
For Virgin Mobile it's free and you don't have to sign up.
(On my phone (Virgin), the message is chopped off before it gets to the actual code, but at least I know there's a code posted.)
