[T&T Supermarket] Canadian tire gift card 10% off

I was in T&T this morning and a customer bought like 50 gift cards. So I paid my attention and found out the sale is on. Not bad if you just use it for gas.

Good luck hunting. By the way Ottawa location still have at least 60 cards left.

Check if those gift cards have a scratch off pin on the back and don't buy it if it doesn't have one. I bought one from SDM before that did not have it, and my GC was promptly used after I activated it. Someone must've copied down all the GC numbers and kept on checking the balance every day until it was activated. Went through quite a bit of hassle with CT to get the money back.

Do you have to buy 9 to get discount?

Better idea is to ask for cards that have not been on the sales floor.

Theres a chinese word after the "9", meaning 90% of price, aka 10% off

no, just one is ok. In Chinese, people like to describe discount as 0.9 times the original, that is number 9 and Chinese word after that. Same meaning as 10% off.

Great deal if you price match a competitor, get 10% off the gift cards, and 10% back in Canadian tire money.

They don't do that any more.

No their system is smart enough to know. So if you have $100 in merchandise and buy $50 in GC (for another company), the system will only take $100 from your CT GCs. - I've tried it LOL

I can't say for sure as I haven't tried but their system should be smart enough to realize it's not truly as GC, although I don't know what setup they have with the CNE.

Can you get a $100 GC for $90, and use that at Canadian tire to pay for other retailers gift cards when they go on sale?

Our family doesn't shop at T&T usually, they're apart of Loblaws, correct?

Wondering if I'll get the 3% on my PC World Elite MasterCard on top of it. :)
