If the GT2 uses standard microUSB, I will get the GT2 7.0 over the A110 because the built quality and screen are superior. The A110 feels like a generic China tablet, in fact I rather get the $129 Lenovo from Bestbuy.

Acer iconia a110 for $148 at Walmart is a good deal. Similar to nexus 7 with lower resolution but adds microsd and microhdmi.

Imho better than the tab 2.

My local costco (Drummondville) have lot of galaxy tab 2 10.1 for 279$.

The acer a110 from walmart is also good deal if you found one.

How? I have been looking at this for a while now. Was it available only online yesterday with limited quantities? I was away yesterday and didn't get home till after midnight, now it says it's in store only now.

I bought it online yesterday pretty much as soon as the website went online yesterday just after 8pm EST (website didn't crash like FF and BB...). I'm guessing their OOS for online now

Yeah...only thing that is remotely interesting to me is vision's TF301 transformer 32g for $278...anything else close to this?

I was planning on getting that, however I heard many bad reviews on that tablet. So I decided not to pick that up, instead I'm planning on getting an iPad 4.

I want the Nexus 7 but Im struggling with the price point of it... This Acer looks pretty decent for the price. Im just worried about the screen. Theres quite a difference in resolution between the Nexus and the Acer.

You'll get used to it no doubt, but take a look at any other tablet with a higher resolution and you'll instantly regret your purchase.
It's definitely a hard bargain when you're comparing the price point between the N7 and the Acer, but at somepoint you'll have to draw the line between saving money, and getting a quality product.


There's always buying it, trying it, and returning it if you don't like it of course.

I test-drove a 16GB playbook. Not good. As walmart has the 64GB for $168, its not a bad price, but, I already have an iPad2, and comparing those two devices - no comparison, sadly. The Playbook is too little, too late.

Are there any deals on cases or accessories for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0? The Source claims to have Boxing Week sales on GnarlyFish accessories. Is amazon.ca usually the best place to buy tablet accessories, such as the $23 6-item bundle from CrazyOnDigital or EveCase?

I regret not getting the Galaxy 2 7" right about now
