Tablet Suggestions

Considering getting a tablet to be used to read pdfs/magazines/e-books. Really like the iPad Air 2 except hellish expensive, and while not completely opposed to iOS, I'm more of an Android guy. I'm looking for something that is relatively lightweight, prefer a 10" screen, CPU/GPU does not need to be top of the line as I won't be doing any gaming or anything really heavy on it, and would like to keep the price to $300 before tax. The Samsung Tab 4 10.1" at $279 (or less) seems like it fits the bill - any other suggestions?

The problem with the Tab 4 is that Samsung has pretty much abandoned it for the Tab S line. The hardware inside is still ok but don't expect many updates.

If you don't mind 8", then the Shield Tablet is a pretty good price for performance choice; plus it comes with a pen. It's suppose to be 299.99 before tax but the currency has messed that up so its 339.99 currently.

The Tab S 8.4" is 349.99, so not TOO expensive but you pay for the best AMOLED screen on the market so there's that. But it's still only 8.4" and not 10".

i saw tab pro 8.4 for $250. For reading, I would suggest a higher resolution screen vs a larger screen for the price.

I also prefer a higher resolution, but it this case, it would result in smaller print.
