only downside to this deal I found was the $75 bonus is only obtainable thru direct deposits.. if your friend gets paid in cheques then they're out of luck
I still miss the pre-Scotia Tangerine... Exchange ATMs are just so much more accessible for me than Scotia ATMs

Should note that Tangerine recently changed its fees. If you leave the account inactive for long, they will charge you money.

CIBC is behind PC financial. Tangerine is backed up by bank of Nova Scotia. Interesting.

got the email too, inactive account fee $10 for a year
If you sign up Tangerine credit card, the cash back will automatically deposit to the chequing account every month, avoid the fee simply

Does anyone know off hand if you have a credit card with Tangerine if that counts as being a current customer? Would I be eligible for the $50 referral and $75 direct deposit credits?

So if I sign up and change my direct deposit I get 100$ but can I also get the 50 referral from a friend? Or is it one or the other?

I think it still, if you open through a "refer a friend" (orange key), its $25, but extra 25 till end of April I think

I think it's $75 if you set up a direct deposit and an additional $25 for using orange25 = $100

Wasn't it $100 for setting up a direct deposit last year?
