[Tangerine Money Back Credit Card ] Tangerine Mastercard 4% cash back in 3 categories* is back

Tangerine is offering unlimited 4% cash back for 3 months in 3 categories* for new card applicants.
*3 categories if you choose to automatically deposit cash back into a Tangerine savings account - otherwise its only 2 categories*

Categories include:

Grocery
Recurring Bill Payments
Furniture
Drug Store
Restaurants
Home Improvement
Hotel-Motel
Entertainment
Gas
Public Transportation and Parking

You can change your categories monthly to suit your needs. There is no annual fee and the cash back rate goes to 2% for your chosen categories after the 3 month promo is over.

Yep, same. After I got my Rogers World Elite my Tangerine card is basically backup. I just wish they would start supporting Apple pay.

2% cash back is still better than rogers bank's 1.75%. In terms of no annual fee credit cards, I don't think anything beats it.

Their acceptance criteria is just weird.
I make significantly more than $12k and was rejected.
I then applied for a different card from a different financial institution and got a frankly absurd credit limit on a premium card.

I received pre-approval for $25K limit for this card some days ago but already using rogers MC but with half the limit so i am confused if accept this or not.

I applied for the credit card a few years ago when I was a student with no income. My applicantion was accepted quickly and the credit limit was 8K.
