They had another targeted (?) offer of 2.75% until Nov 30 if you have 50k+ on your savings:
Give your savings a boost with a great rate of 2.75% until November 30, 2019*.
You qualify for a special interest rate on your Tangerine Savings, Tax-Free Savings and/or RSP Savings Accounts. You could earn 2.75% interest from December 1, 2018 to November 30, 2019 on combined balances of up to $500,000*.

Here’s how to make the most of this special rate:

Tangerine Savings Accounts
Keep your Savings Account balances at $50,000 or more and earn a special interest rate of 2.75% on your combined balances of up to $500,000 until November 30, 2019.
If your Savings Account balances happens to drop below $50,000, you can always bring your balances back up over $50,000 in order to start earning 2.75% again until November 30, 2019.

Tangerine Tax-Free and RSP Savings Accounts
Earn 2.75% interest on the balance in your Tax-Free and RSP Savings Account(s) of up to $500,000 combined until November 30, 2019.
You’ll be able to view your special rates in the ‘Account Details’ section of your Savings Account(s) starting on December 1, 2018.
Check your insights/email.

This should be at least 3%.

Motive financial is offering 2.8% regular rate non-promo. They have a free chequing account with free interact e-transfer (unlike Tangerine's snail e transfer). You can also link up to 5 external accounts.

With their GIC rate decreases in the last weeks, no surprise their latest 'targeted' promo are not as generous as the previous one. A few months ago people were getting up to 3-3.15% for 3-4 months on entire balance.

You pretty much answered your own question! Because you have been with them forever. I don't know if it's coincidence (doubt it) but I received the 2.75 offer shortly after I emptied my savings account to take advantage of a similar offer from my other bank... I then switched it back!

Heck, even RBC's recent targeted offer for their savings account was 3%.

Not impressed with Tangerine since it was bought by Scotiabank. Pulled my account a year ago.

I called and got it - up to $1M and they asked if I could bring more assets over. I told them not for 2.75%.
