Yup, Tangerine prefers to reward NEW clients, rather than KEEP existing clients.
ME TOO. tangerine online staff are suck, they still think they were the only online bank in the world. they only offer to "new customer"not "loyal "

Does anyone know what number the Tangerine calls come from? If you don't answer will they leave you a message to call them back?

2.75% for me. "You could earn up to 2.75% interest from December 01, 2018 to November 30, 2019 on balances of up to $500,000*."
I received the offer in my settings/bonsus&Contests. But there's nothing that says 'click here' to enroll. Am I automatically enrolled ?

I believe you are automatically enrolled.
You’ll be able to view your special rates in the ‘Account Details’ section of your Savings Account(s) starting on December 1, 2018.

I remember in the last few years, we had to move all the money from savings to chequing in December in order to get a 2.4% promo rate in January’s first week for both savings and TFSA.
Did the same thing again last week but no offer yet!
Should I just chat them up and accept the 1.6% that they usually offer on savings only or wait a few more days?

Or just move to Manulife Bank Advantage acct for 2.75% for first 180 days, and then 1.5% as their normal base rate after.
TFSA, u can get 3.0%

I just got

"Warm up your savings with a special interest rate of 2.75%* this winter until September 30, 2019."

Last year I got a few phone calls offering me better.

I logged in and saw a banner offering me 2.75% on 'new money' until September 30, 2019.

No email, and no pop-up - normally I get one of those.

I received the same offer today. Since I hadn't received an offer in over a year, I haven't been moving my money around. I'm also not likely to add much more money to this account this year.

What are the chances of getting a better rate on my existing balance?

Your best bet for getting more is moving it out... They will notice and call you in a few weeks. Do you have simplii? A good temporary option to move to

I got the 3.00% offer too. so if i have the funds currently in my tangerine checking, moving it to the savings should qualify for the bonus right?
