Just did mine on the weekend and waiting for it to be assessed. 8-10 days is pretty awesome for processing time.

What's this fascination with turn-around times by CRA for assessments and especially refunds? You've let the government have your money all year long so why the big rush to get your hands on it now?

No one here has expressed a rush. When I see from anyone that money owed to me has been deposited into my account on a specific date, and it hasn't been, I come here to find out if others are in the same boat. If you're not, great, move along.

Daily updates as to whether the money has been received?
Suggestions to phone to find out the status?

Both of those suggest somewhat of a sense of urgency.

Normally I don't really care, but this year I am expecting a fairly large return (close to $8,000) so I guess that's my reason for frequenting this thread. yours..?

I just like to see who all the people are who provide interest-free financing to the government. I appreciate it.

Lol, I wish. The "government" made a whopping error on my last paycheque of the year and dinged me for thousands of dollars extra in income tax, cpp and ei. Normally my tax refund is about $10.
