yes you would be taxed but if you're lucky they might just let you go. If the bike is made in north america... no duties will be applied.

make the bike all dirty and just say you went for a competition or something.
seriously, who actually admits to these things.

That's frauding. Watch you get blacklisted all over for a $200 bike.

This handy PDF (http://www.asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/e604-eng.pdf) from Canada Customs indicates that duty will be either 0% or 8% depending on the country origin, however, I've not been charged duty on anything brought back into Canada in 10+ years.
You should, however, plan on paying GST/PST when you declare it ... or you might be lucky and they just wave you through.
Of course, one doesn't have to declare it ... but if they catch somebody (and it is a reverse onus system; they don't have to prove that one didn't pay the taxes; one has to prove that they have have paid taxes) the item could be permanently seized, a penalty assessed and always getting secondary inspections for said victim and that car for N years.

lol yea thanks guys, I'd just pay the taxes on it since it's not really something you can hide from them...but anyways, does anyone know the cheapest and best bike store across the border (in buffalo)?

I shopped around and Walmart USA is the cheapest.
If you are into expensive bike, have it shipped to near the border to a few mailbox places and go pick up from there

What kind of bike are you looking for? For 250, you might as well head to crappy tire.

If you plan on declaring and paying taxes, it should only be 5% gst since there's no PST on bikes under $1000 in Ontario.
