It's easy to get Amex business cards. How involved would it be to get this card?

It is unlike amex. You need real business.

You only need to bring in documentation if you have 1) A trade name (sole proprietor's do not need one if they use their name - John Doe, Sole Proprietor), and 2) Have existing business income to support your business operations. If you don't, since it's your first year of business, you would have valid reason to not provide anything. My SO got a TD card in her first year of business with no statements. TD is not going to turn the other cheek for new business owners who don't yet have a full business year.

At least for our businesses, many distributors and vendors don't accept Amex. That's a major problem. They need to step up their partnerships.
AMEX would have to lower their fee's for more people to accept them... Which they won't do, so AMEX will never be widespread in Canada.

Thanks OP for posting this. My business account with TD is almost reaching the 1 year point. Have the business travel card with td points which had 80k points for 1st year. Can I just cancel and get this card and get the benefit? Or can I switch and get it?

I think it should be fine since you had a different card. The fine print says you should not hold a Aeroplan business or if you has it in past you should have cancelled before sep 18. There is no mention of product switch but so I would say just ask about it in the branch while you are applying. With TD product switch almost always works unless it’s Online only or they have categorically stated it’s not allowed.
