I closed down my card last week and just applied again online. They didn't immediately approve it. Pending! LOL

if sign up and cancel, how long before you're typically eligible for these promos again?

Don't need to cancel. Just downgrade. Depending on the season, if promo is not "online only", you'll be able to upgrade to this product again and loot the signup bonus.

DP: I have an existing TD CBI and AP Pt. I called to PS my AP Pt to another CBI and the rep asked me why I want another one coz I have an existing one already. I told them I don't like AP and want CB instead. The rep told me I will not get the promotional 10% coz it has to be new online application and I will only get 6% CB. After spending more than $200, I can see that my TD rewards is actually 10% of my spending so I guess I'm getting lucky

I knew it! It may still be YMMV, but I had a feeling there would be some slipping through the cracks! Thanks for taking one for the team!DealsLookout wrote: ↑ DP: I have an existing TD CBI and AP Pt. On my front, I'm currently holding 4 CBVI cards, all via PS'ing in Nov when it was not a published requirement on the offer page to apply online for the 10% bonus. On my calls for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th card, none of the phone reps asked me why I wanted another one.
I've just completed the $2K spending on the 4th card, and all have received the 10% rate. I haven't checked with this 4th card yet, but the first 3 are also getting 6% when spending beyond the initial $2K, on gas and groceries. I expect to get this 6% rate for an additional $1500 (first $3500).
Bee, plucking the low-hanging fruit.

This happened with Jr-Bee's CBVI card, a PS opened card. Only earned 1% on the first $1600 and charged $120 AF. Called in to ask "whazzup?!". Supervisor gave $160 instant cash back credit to the account plus $120 statement credit, and then 'activated' the 10% rate for future purchases. Received 10% for $2000 spend after the call, so basically it was 10% on $3600 spent. Total $360 cash back received as the welcome bonus. Win! Go skiing, have fun.

Hello,
I got this card on September 2019 when there was a similar deal. I already spend more than 2k for the 2% cashback by October 2019. Does anyone know when the cashback will be given or how I can claim this cashback? Does it come as a form of a cheque or something?
Sorry, I am not very familiar with this card. Thanks in advanced!

When you go into your TD app, there will be a rewards button. Click on that and then redeem your reward.prolegend wrote: ↑ Hello,

If redeeming via phone, can redeem cashback with the change (exact amount).grasshopper902 wrote: ↑ When you go into your TD app, there will be a rewards button. Click on that and then redeem your reward.

Applied and got approved.
Gonna use this up to $2000 spend then cancel the card and continue using my Roger's card.

So my 10% cash back was showing no issues from a December activation and the $120 annual fee showed up two weeks back. Apparently a system glitch and they are pulling the $120 fee off manually (phoned in). Watch your statements people!

Once you reach the $2000 plateau in spending, try another $10 purchase for gas/grocery. Normally it would be 3%, but I've been getting 6%. I'm expecting this 6% rate for another $1500 above the $2000 initial spend. My cards(4) were all opened via PS in Nov.
