What did you use for a 50$ payroll?
Some employers allow you to apportion your earnings into multiple accounts.

Yup, mine allows splitting and it's all done online ourselves, don't even need to notify HR.

Just wondering if both a the husband and spouse can open an account each, or is there a limitation of one account per household?

Is it easier to open this in branch or online? If online, am I still going to have to go to a branch?

Has anyone here gotten both this $300 and the $300 from the spring 2016 offer? I closed my account in May 2016, so that's before June 15.

Not gonna work for both.
I did. My first $300 was from February 2016.

Who is not eligible for the offer?

Individuals who:
* Already have a TD chequing account or Youth Account, or had one that was closed on or after June 15, 2016;
* Received a tablet or TV as part of an offer from TD in 2014, 2015 or 2016; or
* Are TD staff members

Are you paying the monthly fee or are you able to deposit $4000 through cheque deposit at account opening online?

They charged the monthly fee my first month due to delays in getting money deposited, so there were a number of days I was below the "waived fee" minimum balance. But I wrote them a (nice) message online and they reversed the fee this time

I'm paying the monthly fee, Account open august 28th, they charged me 2.06$ for august. So monthly fee is prorated.

But yeah when you open online you got an option to do a deposit right away. Take a few days to show up however. Might be better to do an einteract.
