TD bank holiday hours
It seems that most TD branches are closed on 3rd and 4th here in Montreal. What a bunch of lazy bums! How do I find out if any branch will be open tomorrow. Is it the same in Toronto?

It's not their fault that the statutory holidays fell on weekends.
They will be open on Tuesday, January 4th, in Ontario.

I can't imagine why they would be closed anywhere on the 4th. Does Quebec have some extra New Years holiday or something? 3rd was a stat day off in lieu of New Years Day being on a Saturday.
Also, it might just be socialistic Quebec laws mandating lazyism, but in the rest of the country many branches are open 68hrs a week and soon they're adding Sundays in some locations.

A lot of banks/branches seem to like being closed on Mondays, so this probably accounts for that.

Oh, are banks regularly closed on Mondays in Quebec so they're closed Tuesday this week (today) as well in lieu of the stat holiday falling on Monday, which is in lieu of the actual holiday falling on Saturday?

On Jan 2nd (Sunday) Quebec had "Traditional Holiday", so they are closed on Tuesday in lieu.

Don't blame the banks ... blame the province of Quebec!

WTF is "traditional holiday"? That sounds like the biggest bonus holiday grab since Boxing Day.

My local branch which is usually open Sundays had a sign up stating they would be closed today (Sunday) and tomorrow.

There should be a message in your mailbox. I would post its contents, but I deleted it. It said about branch being closed.
