Did you guys bother to read the OP? You know, the one that has a screenprint of an ad on Facebook that offers this deal, no email required?

Even if an email is required to enroll online, you can still go to a B&M branch with a copy of the FB ad and apply in person.

P.S. No literacy requirement either. Y'all are good to go ;)
Of course I did lol

I was just questioning what's the point putting that condition inside the offer page when it is a generic link as OP said to begin with. I mean, clearly if you can access to that offer page presumably then you already fulfilled that requirement, unless the mail version is a customized link as I have mentioned.

So now I cannot comment on it without being told did you bother to read? Neutral Face

Not at all. Your post said "Please note you must have received this targeted offer via e-mail or mail to be eligible." That's what I was responding to.

When I follow the generic link it asks if I'm an existing customer then asks me to login to EasyWeb. Since I already have an account with them, they stop me there without asking how I heard of the offer, e.g. offer code from email.

Damn I opened a chequing account in 2016 during the Samsung 40'' TV deal. Althought that checking account was closed after. I still have a TD easyweb access for my E-Series funds...
Think I am eligible?

I'm not sure it matters much what we here on RFD think. What really matters is what the TD agent you ask thinks ;)

I'd call a branch, explain the situation and ask if you're eligible.

T&C says you must have received an email or mail to qualify. So unless you have it sent from TD, they could theoretically deny you.

Also no promos given in 2016-2018 to be eligible, although I got my bonus last year, even though I was not eligible because of previous promos.

Roll the dice again? lol

Alright then I will just stop posting anything on RFD since no comment matters anymore...

Thanks.

That's not what I'm suggesting. I'm suggesting that if you want an authoritative answer on eligibility, just call TD and ask. If you just want opinions, then IMO if the chequing account is closed, holding e-series funds should be irrelevant, so yes you should qualify. But you knew that when you posted, no?

P.S. if you want to contribute to RFD, post back with what they tell you.

2) Received any chequing account offer from TD in 2016, 2017, 2018; or
Took advantage of both 2016 and 2017... so I guess I got 2 more years to wait, lol.

Tried to apply for this in branch and played the Facebook ad angle but no dice. They needed a targeted email/letter mail to proceed.

I prefer asking questions here cause I am pretty sure that calling a TD teller will result in them not even being aware of this new promo.

Just can’t understand how you target people who have never been customers?

Can you not just use the generic link from the fb ad if you dont have a td account already? When you open it it shows the $500 and an apply here offer.
There's no way to have gotten the email if you arent a customer anyway so...

Ahahahahaha...I like how this was left out of the original post. There is nothing HOT about this deal, and they stand to gain more from you than you from them.

For anyone who is loaded and can leave 5k plus in their account untouched, then this might be enticing

Do you think it's worth just to park 5k there to get $500?
